As clichés go, when you know, you know. Skeptically online dating the two met in the flesh at Grandmas, Sydney, a hipster hole in the wall bar not suspecting that on their one year anniversary they would say “I do”. As whirlwind romances go Denis proposed on their first overseas holiday together in Hawaii and elopement plans soon followed. Eloping in Mexico, that was the first plan.

“In the end we couldn’t do it to our parents”. The private couple decided to intimately wed in front of their families at Old St Paul’s cathedral in Denis’s hometown of Wellington, NZ. Traditional wedding bells rung in the happy occasion and tears of joy flowed as two families became one. The mix of their European cultures saw a spirited, vodka infused celebration by the sea. Reflecting back on the day the couple are happy with their decision to give their families a wedding and share the joy with them. This low key wedding celebration suited the couple perfectly!
